The Rice Diet
Rice diet is a low fat, low sodium and primarily vegetarian eating plan. It consists of two phases. The Rice diet is not a rice based-eating plan; it is a medically supervised Weight Loss program for rapid weight reduction, designed by Duke University for the treatment of obesity, diabetes and raised blood pressure (hypertension).
There are two phases. Rice diet Phase I of the program incorporates grains and fruits. This phase needs medical supervision. It should not be attempted at home. Rice diet experts recommend that you stay on Phase I as long as possible at least half the time of your stay at the center. Rice diet Phase II includes choices of vegetables, beans and other carbohydrates, in addition to grains and fruit. Fish is also served once per week.
This diet need medical supervision, so you cant practice this diet by yourself.
